In recent times, it has become increasingly vital for businesses not only to focus on their immediate environment but also to actively engage with the broader community and society around them.
Although we are a small business, we firmly believe that “What we do is just a drop in the ocean. But without that drop, the ocean would be shallower.” – Mother Teresa
In this post, we’ve gathered the key CSR activities that we believe small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) like ours can undertake to contribute to sustainability and a better, more beautiful world.
Environmental Protection
We consider it essential to contribute to the sustainability of our environment wherever we can. Within our means, we strive to consciously reduce our ecological footprint and care for our surroundings.
- For commuting, we prioritize public transportation, cycling, or walking, as many of us live close to the office.
- For business meetings, we often carpool or use public transport instead of individual cars. If possible, and if the other party is open to it, we hold meetings online to avoid unnecessary travel.
- Given the nature of our work, we generate a significant amount of electronic waste, which we always dispose of responsibly.
- We aim to minimize paper usage and use recycled paper for printing. We also prefer electronic communication and digital administration.
- Within the office, we collect waste selectively and have installed a battery collection point as well.
Responsible Employment
We know that the success of a business depends on its team. Therefore, we believe it is the leader’s responsibility to support colleagues in bringing out their best both individually and as a group. We pay attention to their professional goals and other ambitions.
- We offer flexible working hours for all employees, recognizing the needs of both younger and family-oriented generations.
- We also allow remote work for those who occasionally prefer working from home.
- For parents, we prioritize flexibility, ensuring they can balance work and family life effectively.
- We value fresh ideas and innovation. That’s why we warmly welcome university interns and recent graduates who bring new perspectives to our organization. Notably, most of our interns continue with us as part- or full-time employees after their internship.
Socially Beneficial Projects
As a responsible business, we aim to prioritize projects and initiatives that benefit society. Our portfolio includes several examples, ranging from educational programs to applications used in healthcare.
Our References
Having built our business from scratch, we understand the typical pitfalls and challenges of entrepreneurship. That’s why we actively support young entrepreneurs through professional lectures, meetups, and workshops. Our CEO, a certified mentor for the INPUT Program, offers pro-bono support to startups. Additionally, as a representative of the Enterprise Europe Network in the Southern Great Plain region, he assists SMEs in entering international markets.
Support for the Community
We not only focus on SMEs and startups but also support societal causes:
- Each year, we make significant financial or in-kind contributions to societal goals and foundations chosen by our team.
- We regularly support the procurement of equipment for neonatal ambulances and children’s hospitals, as well as organizing recreational activities for children. Both as a team and individually, we participate in charitable events and fundraising campaigns.
